I’ve been messing around and experimenting with some minimalistic overdubbing.
This recording is what us music majors refer to as an “etude” or “exercise.” Only four notes (boring, right?) played by 16 overdubbed acoustic guitars. First harmonics, then single notes, then chords, then harmonics again. Suppose I didn’t need to explain.
Will likely be incorporating these textures into some new pieces I’ve been sketching out for a few months.

New Song “Into The Light”
Recorded a new demo the other day called “Into The Light.” I think it turned out to sound pretty good for a demo, except there are some high vocal parts that might sound a little better with a female singer. I can’t quite pinpoint who’d be good for it though — thoughts?

p.s. This picture was taken in Beaver Creek, Colorado. I took that same picture on several different days when I was out there and this one is by far the trippiest.
In Colorado this week — more photos to come when I transfer photos from my camera. For now, here’s one of my friend Penelope (she’s a porcupine).

“Sleep Through The Night”
Recorded this the other day — actually used some electric guitar and slide guitar this time around.
This photo was taken this past may at The Gorge in Eastern Washington during the Sasquatch festival. I think it was right after I had seen Beach House play and Erykah Badu was going about to start… good times

My friend Buzzy and I (mostly Buzzy) wrote this song a few years ago. I recently put some lyrics to it and decided to record it when I had some free time to kill this past weekend. You like?
